Canada’s various Registrars of Vital Statistics, who have been granted authorization to record and deposit the official birth, marriage and death records for their respective regions, in the various provinces and territories of Canada vary from region to region with their rules for extraction of these records. These records for the period of restriction are only accessible by the Registrars’ and, thus, for these periods we cannot search the registers ourselves. Identified below is a chart of what civil vital records they hold and for what period. All these records can be certified or notarized for court purposes as requested. We will search and extract these records that are archived here within Canada while those for other countries will be charged out on a time and expense fee basis. Please consult this website for further details on the compensatory arrangement.
